British Columbia · Summer 2025

BC Unplugged

Seven days across British Columbia by motorcycle: Hot springs, ferries, mountain parks, wildfire smoke, Rogers Pass, and the epic run home down Highway 99.

British Columbia is bigger than I thought

I started thinking that I’d wander across British Columbia on my motorcycle and the province laughed back at me. British Columbia is more than twice the size of California. Not only was I going to be traveling across large swaths of land through major mountain ranges, I’d have to be strategic on where I went. This series begins using an old Destination Highways book, turns into a journey of experiencing British Columbia through my own lens including: Osoyoos, Ainsworth, Invermere, Banff, Golden, Rogers Pass, Kamloops, Duffey Lake, Whistler, and Vancouver.
