Life at the
Pace of Sweet Tea
A motorcycle journey through the south and what I found when I returned home
Sometimes the road takes you somewhere you didn’t know you were supposed to be.
After thirteen years at the same company and a layoff that changed everything, I flew to Savannah with one suitcase, a motorcycle on the way, and no return ticket.
What started as a ride through Georgia became something else: family, old roads, unexpected conversations, motorcycles, rain, faith, mechanical problems, and the slow realization that some places keep shaping you long after you leave.
These are the stories from that trip.
I realized I didn’t miss a crisis. I missed the accumulation of simple moments like this one.
